The parasol does not come with a base unit. Please see the options below.

  • The base and any ballast are essential to ensure stability and safety. Please select the appropriate option when ordering. (Please phone us on 01307 468442 for advice we are happy to assist you).
  • Please view the "Scolaro Cantilever Parasol Stability Chart" image which shows the parasol stability on a scale of 1-5. You should aim for a stability number of 3 or above in most situations.


  • The chart has to be considered indicative because many variables that depend on the area of employment and position of the parasols, and are not foreseeable. No rights can be derived from this stability scale. The use of a parasol is always your own responsibility.
  • BTAZS - Use wet concrete or post mix to concrete this base flush with ground level. Your parasol will bolt directly to the base with the bolts provided.
  • CP3030BS - This base unit can be bolted directly to an existing concrete or solid base area (ground bolts are not supplied). Your parasol will bolt directly to the base with the bolts provided
  • B1BS - Use this base bearing in mind our recommendation to have a stability factor of 3 or more. We suggest 1 set of 2 BC5151 AND 1 set of 2 BV5050. Alternatively use 12 x BC5050. This base unit can be partially hidden with BCWS Carter Parasol Base Cover.
  • PL1BS - Use this base bearing in mind our recommendation to have a stability factor of 3 or more. We suggest 2 sets of 2 BC5151 or 2 sets of 2 BV5050. Alternatively use 12 x BC5050. This base unit can be partially hidden with BDWS Carter Parasol Base Cover.
  • BUD26WS - Use this base bearing in mind our recommendation to have a stability factor of 3 or more. We suggest 12 x BC4040. This base unit can be hidden with BUDCAR26WS Carter Parasol Base Cover. This base unit can be made mobile by adding B8080R Lockable Castors.
